Fireworks room - Should I or should I not?

Will you spend $300 to $400 plus to stay in a Hotel room just to see the NDP Preview fireworks?

Since weeks ago, I have been thinking if I should take the room. Yes i call the hotels but to ask the rates....The Oriential cost at a ridiculous price of more than 500 bucks. The Marina Mandarin cost $340, can see the harbour but the view is a bit blocked on the right(no breakfast). The Swissotel cost ard $410(with breakfast). All these prices include taxes. Even the reception lady at Marina Mandarin offer to bring me up personally just to let me see the fireworks room so that I can make my decision. Her service is very good!!

I just couldn't pick up the phone and JUST DO IT to book the room. A $300 to $400 nite stay in a hotel room is consider very x for me (it will burnt some hole in the pocket). This kind of money can go Genting, add on just a few hundred bucks more can go phuket, or etc.

Every year, when i see the fireworks at the Esplande, i told myself "One day..one day i will not be waiting n squeezing with the crowd...i will not be blocked by trees...i will book a hotel room with my loved one and enjoy the fireworks scene from the hotel facing it".
